📐 Design Parameters

I need to convey specific fabrication rules for my PCB, such as vias with a 2mm pad and a 0.6mm hole, and tracks larger than 0.25mm, preferably 0.3mm. Currently, Quilter doesn't support uploading custom fabrication rules, which is essential for my laser engraver manufacturing process. It would be beneficial if Quilter could allow the application of custom design rules to accommodate different manufacturing methods.

I need support for custom stack ups, especially for features on internal layers. This would enhance the flexibility and capability of the design process, allowing for more complex and customized board designs.

I don't understand why all the components of all the proposed layouts were on the same side. i did not check the single-side box.

Automatically define or expand board outline

I am looking for the ability to generate effective fanouts and escape routing for BGA packages. This feature would streamline the design process for high-density packages, improving efficiency and design quality.

I recently had to change the shape of a board and tried my hand at layout. I found it beneficial to fit all traces on one side of a 2-sided board, allowing for a solid ground plane and reducing the number of vias. It would be helpful to have the option to set priorities when requesting a layout, such as prioritizing fewer layers over a continuous ground plane or shorter traces.

I am working on a project that uses different planes on one of the intermediate layers to simplify power routing. It would be beneficial if Quilter could handle different areas of different planes to improve power routing efficiency.
